How fast can I go on my electric bike? Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry, and today we're going to find out how fast can I go on my electric bike. All right. Right here, I've got the Evryjourney 500-watt e-bike. Is available in multiple colors. This is an awesome electric bike that gets you up to top speeds of 20 miles an hour by just using the throttle and 22 and pedal assist and also up to 50 miles of range. The benefit here is, a low step-through, upright, comfortable riding position. Now, probably asking yourself, the name of this video is, How far or how fast can I go on my e-bike? And I just told you, but what we're going to do is go down a massive hill here and we're going to cruise to the bottom and see what our top speed is. I want to show you how smooth and easy this e-bike rides, even at high speeds. Now, I'm anticipating at least 30. Maybe we can get even up to 40. Now we've got two-inch wide tires, so these are going to be good for stability, but also roll smooth. And I won't even need to do much in terms of getting the speed going. So I think we're going to get somewhere between 30 and 40 miles an hour. And I'll show you how awesome these brakes work. So let's get saddled up and go for a ride. Going to turn my GoPro on so you can also see.
And hopefully, you guys will be able to see the speedometer here on my display. All righty. Ready? Okay. We are off and running. All right. Now I'm going to bring this back just a touch again. All right. Right. There's good. Okay. I feel comfortable. I feel safe. Let me make sure my helmet's on. We are in the bike lane. All right. We're going to start picking up speed here as we get around this curve. All right. We're up to 19. 20. Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and put this in seventh and get this up to level five. Okay, there we go. All right, 27, 29. Hopefully, we keep a green light here, folks. 30, 32, shoot. All right, we got to 32. We got to go back for round two. All right. We're going to go back to the top of the hill and see if we can't beat 32 miles an hour. We were just picking up speed. Round two. Saddled up and ready. Here we go. The first pass was 32 miles an hour and we had to stop short. All right. Let's go ahead and get pumping here.
Okay, build our momentum. We have a stiff headwind here fighting against us. Okay, what do we get? It's green. All right, let's just keep going. I think we're going to do it. 33. 34. Holy crap, we're flying. 35. 36. 37. 38. Can we hit 39? 39. Oh, we hit 40. Let's get to 40. And then I might pull back. Can we get to 40? 40! I'm pulling back. I'm hitting the brakes. I'm hitting the brakes. Oh, we got to 40. Whoo. I'll be honest, that was a little scary. That was a little scary. Let's go ahead and pull in here. Decompress. Whoo. Whoo. Wow. I can honestly say that's the fastest I've ever gone on a bike. So I almost got to 41 and I started to break. I thought that was good enough. That is a big, big hill. Now, I don't advise that at home. Don't try it. But I felt smooth and the breaking was quick. I felt safe. You know, honestly, we got up to about 40. I felt a little bit scared. But I tried to remain calm to stay safe, but the bike performed. So, hey, that was a lot of fun. Exhilarating.
