A Unique Semi Recumbent EBike for Tall & Short Riders | Full EBike Assembly & Feature Walkthrough

This is the Relaxed Body 500-watt Deluxe, a semi-recumbent e-bike designed for maximum comfort—now featuring an upgraded suspension fork and integrated lighting for 2025. It’s an ideal fit for both tall and short riders, offering an exceptionally smooth ride. In this guide, we’ll walk through the full assembly process and highlight the key features of this unique e-bike.

Unboxing & Initial Setup

Your e-bike will arrive in a box approximately 64" long, 35" tall, and 9" wide, weighing around 80 lbs. Carefully remove the staples when opening the box to avoid injury or damage. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Box 3 (contains tools, pedals, charger)
  • Assembly instructions
  • The bike frame with the seat pre-installed
  • Front wheel and fender

If you’re assembling solo, it's easiest to cut down the front of the box and create a flap for easy access. Roll the rear wheel out and set the bike on a padded surface.

Removing Packaging

Start by cutting all zip ties and removing protective materials. Use tin snips or strong scissors for efficiency. Keep a trash bin nearby for easy cleanup.

Note: The bike includes two seat posts—one pre-installed and one shorter alternative—allowing for full seat height adjustment based on your height preference.

Installing the Front Wheel

  1. Remove the packaging spacers from the fork using a 12mm wrench.
  2. Tilt the bike upright, resting it on the fork.
  3. Loosen or remove axle nuts on the front wheel.
  4. Position the wheel so the disc rotor slides between the brake calipers.
  5. Make sure the axle washers are outside the fork.
  6. Hand-tighten the axle nuts, then use a 15mm wrench to securely tighten them.
  7. Deploy the kickstand to stabilize the bike for the next steps.

Attaching the Handlebars

Inside Box 3, you’ll find:

  • Handlebar stem
  • Decorative top cap
  • Tools and charger

  1. Insert the stem into the frame and adjust the height as needed.
  2. Use a 6mm Allen key to align and tighten the stem with the front wheel.
  3. Use a 5mm Allen key to loosen the faceplate, insert the handlebars, and center the ribbed section.
  4. Tighten all bolts evenly to prevent movement.

Mounting the Front Fender and Light

  1. Loosen the bolt near the fork crown with a 10mm wrench and 5mm Allen key.
  2. Slide the fender into place, ensuring the support struts remain outside the fork.
  3. Mount the light behind the fender tab.
  4. Hand-tighten the bolt, raise the fender to avoid tire rub, then fully tighten it.
  5. Secure the fender struts to the frame using the supplied bolts and Allen key.

Installing the Pedals

Pedals are labeled R (right) and L (left). Note the threading direction:

  • Right pedal: Tighten clockwise.
  • Left pedal: Tighten counter-clockwise (reverse-threaded).

Use the 15mm wrench from your tool kit to secure each pedal until snug.

Adjusting the Seat

To switch seat posts:

  1. Loosen the bolts under the seat to detach it.
  2. Replace the seat post, then retighten the bolts and adjust the seat angle as needed.
  3. Use the quick-release lever to lock the seat height. Tighten the knob before clamping the lever for a secure fit

Setting Up the Display

  1. Use the included Allen key to open the display clamp.
  2. Mount it to the center of the handlebars and lightly tighten the bolts.
  3. Adjust the viewing angle before fully tightening.

The adjustable stem also allows for handlebar tilt and extension. Loosen the front bolt to move the bars closer or farther from your body, then retighten securely.

Battery, Power & Controls

  • Keys: Found with the handlebar cables. They secure the battery to the frame but are not required to power the bike on/off.
  • Charging: The battery can be charged on or off the bike using the port on the side.
  • Powering On: Turn on the switch under the battery, then hold the handlebar power button.

Display Controls:

  • Pedal Assist Levels: Adjust using the up/down arrows.
  • Throttle: Activates only when pedal assist is on (Level 1 or higher).
  • Lights: Press and hold the “up” button to turn the headlight on/off.

Gears & Brakes

  • The 7-speed gear system and brakes are pre-tuned at the factory.
  • If adjustments are needed (e.g., loose braking or skipping gears), we recommend either professional tuning or referencing our online video tutorials.
  • Brake pads may wear over time—typically lasting 6–24 months depending on usage. Replacements are inexpensive and user-serviceable.

Suspension Fork

The front suspension has two modes:

  • Open: For a cushioned, comfortable ride.
  • Locked: For more efficient pedaling on smooth terrain.

You can toggle between modes to suit your riding preferences.

Final Notes

  • Tire pressure is marked on the sidewall (40–65 PSI).
