The dimensions and weight of the Relaxed Body Recumbent E-Trike. Hey, everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry, and today, I'm gonna show you the dimensions and tell you the weight of the Relaxed Body Recumbent E-Trike. Now, a brand new trike for us in 2025 with a very unique design. It has this elongated frame with the seat lower and the forward pedaling. Now, this is not a fully recumbent where you're lying down. It's called a recumbent or semi-recumbent because you're still sitting relatively upright, but you're pedaling out in front, and you're getting the benefit of a recumbent with the low step-through and the low seat height in the lowest position. So, let's go ahead and get into the measurements. All right. The step-over height of the frame here is 16 inches, and the seat is in the lowest position. Let's get this all the way down here. Right, there are 29 and a half inches. All right. And let's tell you what it is in the highest position, you can see it can come up very high. So this trike is great for accommodating shorter or taller riders. In the highest position, it's 38 inches. Let's go ahead and drop this down. Also, before I get into the measurements, this trike weighs 81 pounds with the battery.
This is a 15 amp hour battery that weighs 11 and a half pounds. So if you take the battery away, now you're at 79 and a half pounds. So not one of the lighter trikes, but you have a good wheelbase and length. So it's very, very stable. Okay, let's do an axle-to-axle measurement here. So from the front axle to the rear axle, let's go ahead and take a look here, it is 58 and a half inches. The total length from the front of the wheel to the back is 76 and a half inches. And a lot of people like to get with the handlebars turn. So, let's go ahead and turn the handlebars. Give you this measurement right here. So that's going to be. Now, the rise of the handlebars is another cool feature here because it gives you a lot of play. If you have shorter arms, bring the handlebars into your body. If you have longer arms, push the handlebars away from your body. So the rise of the handlebar is 12 inches, and the width of these grips is 23 and three-quarter inches. And your stem measurement right here is 4 and a half inches. So you can also move that closer or farther away. Now the front tire is 24 inch by three inch and the rear tire is three inch by 20 inch. We've set it lower in the rear to put it lower to the ground in the back to create more stability.
And you have the rear-mounted motor back here as well. So, a lot of weight is in the rear. Pushing forward creates great traction on the rear wheels for climbing hills or on dirt trails. Also really keeps the back weighted down. So that's a nice feature if you're looking for stability by having that weight in the rear. Ok, let's take some other measurements. So also, just at the top of the actual seat clamp is 27 inches, to the top of the stem is 33 inches, and let's do the measurement right from the stem to the seat post is 25 and a half inches right there. The width in the back from the outside of one tire to the other is 29 and a half inches. The rear basket, which we have another video on, is 16 and a half inches by 20 and a half inches by 9 inches deep. All right. What else can I measure here? Let's see. Let me do the fork length. So the fork length right here is 15 and a half inches deep. From the fork to the top of the stem is 24 inches, and one more thing I'll do here from the stem to the back of the seat is 32 inches, and the stem to the front of the seat is 22 and a quarter inches. All right. One other thing I'll do from the pedal to the ground is four and a half inches, and the clearance under the bike is 10 and a half inches. Now, the other thing I'll mention too is the pedals typically sit directly below the seat post. So the pedals are moved forward; let me see here, 16 and a half inches. So imagine on a standard trike, these pedals are gonna be moved back 16 and a half inches. So you have 16 and a half inches forward, which allows the seat to be lower, and the rider can still get ample leg extension when riding.
