The measurements of the new Simple Glide 500-watt recumbent e-trike. Hey, everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry, and today I'm going to show you the measurements of the new Simple Glide 500-watt recumbent e-trike. All right. The Simple Glide is brand new product for us in 2024. So let's get into the measurements. All right. The step-over height right here is 13 and three-quarters inches. Now the seat has a couple of positions, right now it's back. So let's first start with the measurements with the seat all the way forward. So I'll go ahead and adjust that, okay? All right, now we've got it all the way forward. Okay, from here, from the stem to the front of the seat is 15 and a half inches, and from all the way here to the back of the seat is 29 and a half inches, and now the other thing is, is that these handlebars are very adjustable. So there are a lot of different positions you can find in terms of the handlebars.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to put them as close as you can get them. Now, this is a pretty extreme position, but you could imagine if you're sitting here, the handlebar is or the grip is only five inches from the armrest, and it's three, four inches into the seat. All right, now let's measure, let me measure the depth of the seat here as well. So the seat is 14 inches wide and the backrest is 19 inches tall. The width of the seat on the inside of the grips, or the sorry, the armrests is 18 and 3 fourths inches. On the outside of the armrest, it's 23 and a half inches. From the ground to the top of the seat is 26 inches, and from the ground to the top of the backrest is 45 inches. So, if you were going to need to transport it, the grip in the closest position is about 14 inches from the backrest. Now let's go ahead and try another position here, which is if we loosen this and take the handlebars up. Now you could have the grips a lot higher, this puts the grip 21 and a half inches from the backrest and from the ground. Now it's 49 and a half inches.
Now, another option is to pull this, move this like that, and now you can have the grips also like that. In this position puts the grip is 22 inches from the backrest and 46 and a half inches from the ground. So there are a lot of different variations you can have with these handlebars, and a lot of play. The other thing is that we include a second handlebar option that you can use to find added adjustments as well. All right. So the absolute width in the back here on the outside of the fenders is 29 and a half inches. I know that is a very common question. And the length from the front of the tire. Oops. The back is 68 inches. Okay, now the pedals are from the front of the seat. Now again, this is in the forward position. So the pedals to the front of the seat are 17 inches. The pedals to the backrest are 35 inches.
The pedals off the ground are 11 inches. And also another common question, when the handlebars are folded or turned, sorry, let's give you that measurement as well. It would be 63 inches. So you shave about five inches off. Okay, now with the seat in the very farthest position, slide it back. Okay. All right. So now from here to the pedal here, sorry, to the crank is 20 inches. To this pedal right here is 21 inches in the farthest position. Well, actually, no, I take that back. All right. So, from the seat now is 17 inches to the closest, 25 inches to the farthest. And let's go ahead and slide this back and take that measurement like this. So now, to the front of the seat in the closest position is 15, to the farthest is 21 and a half. In the farthest position from the pedal, It's 25 inches. All right, any other measurements? We get a lot of measurement questions.
Okay, one other thing, too, is that the handlebars are adjustable. So, in the lowest position, the handlebars from the ground are 41 inches. And then you have a lot of play here. This is in the highest position. Now, from there, your handlebars are 44 1⁄2 inches. S,o a lot of raising and lowering that you can do with the handlebars. Again, a lot of variation and adjustability you have with the handlebars and the whole configuration. All right, one other measurement I just want to show is with everything folded. Now, the top of the seat is going to be the highest point, but you can also come up here and we can fold this down like so. Now the height of the seat is still the highest point, but you can see that if you have an SUV or somewhere, the top of the backrest is 45 inches. So you could get it into the SUV, easily slide it in and out, and then you could pop up your handlebars and then click this into place, and you're off and riding.
