Taylor: Okay, looks like you're ready to go.
Jackie: A little kick you do a little pedal.
Taylor: Pedal assists one. Yep, she's on pedal assist one. Yep, use your brake. Yep, you got your brakes. You look great.
Dustin: How do you like it?
Jackie: I’m loving it.
Dustin: Starting to ride for the first time, safety is going to be a big concern. Making sure you have your balance, keeping the bike steady. The EvryJourney has a unique proprietary geometry something we call the forward pedaling design. So typically the pedals would be directly below the seat. In this case, they're shifted forward. So riders, when they stop, can get their feet flat and generally are just lower to the ground. So that's going to create a safer ride. One other major element that makes this a great, the best women's bicycle for beginners is the four custom adjustment points. Custom adjustment point number one is the height. Of the seat. So you can raise and lower the seat very easily with the quick release. Custom adjustment point number two is right here under the seat there is another bolt that you can loosen and tilt the seat. So you put on, in this case, a 14-millimeter. You can tilt the seat forward or backward. Our next two adjustment points are up here at the handlebars. So we've got one bolt right here that is loosened and tightened with an Allen key. And here we can lower it or raise it. Our last and fourth custom adjustment point is the tilt. And here we can loosen that. And now Alana can find the position that's right for her.
Alana: I think that's good.
Dustin: Okay. We include the tool with the bike to make these adjustments for you free of charge. We've just adjusted this bike in basically less than a minute.
Dustin: Now you can see back here, that your battery has up to 50 miles of range in a single charge like I said. This is easily removable. Take it on and off. Now the other thing is, is that the power is a 500-watt e-bike. That's a great power level to give you enough power to get you up hills and around town. The other cool thing about this e-bike is the controls are very simple and easy. You've got your power button right here. You hold that in and your display kicks on. Right here, you've got your levels of assistance. And when you have your hand on the grip, you can push this up or down. One gives you the least amount of assistance. Five gives you the most amount of assistance. And when I say assistance, that's when you pedal, the motor will kick on and give you assistance. Your throttle, as long as this is in one, two, three, or five. One, two, three, four, five will work. So you push this as much or as little as you want to go. Just like a gas pedal on a car, you regulate the output based on how hard or soft you press it. Now, in addition to that, if you don't want to utilize the electric at any point or you like to use low levels, you have seven gears on here like you'd have on a regular bicycle and they can be shifted up here. You can use these with or without the electric, doesn't matter. They work well in conjunction. As you have the assist, you can shift higher. As you climb hills, you can shift lower. But it's nice to have that if you only want to use a low level of assist, one or two, you can utilize the gears of the bike to dictate your speed and your exertion as well.
Dustin: How is it for you to control? Pretty easy?
Jackie: It takes some practice. I wouldn't advise getting on and like if in the you know in downtown LA. I'm going to go fast.
Taylor: Okay. We'll see you later, Jackie.
Jackie: Bye. Thanks for the bike.
Taylor: Hahaha
