So I've got Colton in the back here. He's 6'2", 180 pounds. I'm 5'10", 225. So combined, we're just over 400 pounds. We're going to get to the base of a little hill, and I'm going to show you how the Rickshaw performs on a hill. So let's go ahead and do this. Shift it into pedal assist five. Get your bike into pedal assist gear one. And we're off and running. There's absolutely zero chance I'm getting up this hill with Colton without a motor. So that in and of itself is pretty cool. Just gonna hold the throttle the whole way and let the bike do the work. So you can see this is so powerful I don't even need to pedal at all. I can just let the motor take me up the hill. Now you can see, no pedaling at all. And I've just got my thumb down on the throttle here. And we are going seven miles an hour.
Now, at 230, 250, you know, you're not going to fly up the hill by just going throttle only. So even in a 750-watt e-bike. There we have it. No pedaling whatsoever. And we made it. Now we are going to show you in pedal assist. How is it on the hill for me? With the pedal assist, we get up the hill a lot quicker and easier. Now you can see I'm averaging about two miles an hour faster, almost three, by doing pedal assist. And I'm not exerting that much effort, but it's just enough to make it that much more efficient.
I mean, this is like little to no effort on my part. And we're off. The other thing, when you're coming down these big hills, engage both the brakes so you can ease down the hill. Okay, so that was no problem. Coming down was no problem. Now, the lighter the load, the easier these hills will be. I made it. A little bit of traffic there. No problem. So it's not easy. It's out of 10, it's about four out of 10 of exertion. The pedal assist happens or helps. Colton's a big guy.
